似ている魚で「ラスボラエスペイ」という種類がいますが、違いとして三味線のバチのような黒い模様の太さと体高の高さで見分ける事ができます。性格も温和で群れで泳ぎます。

There is a similar species of fish called “Rasbora Espei,” but the Rasbora Heteromorpha can be distinguished by the thickness of its black pattern, which resembles the plectrum of a shamisen, and by its height. They are mild-mannered and swim in schools.
