一見地味に見えますが、体にブルーの横ラインが入り、目が青く光る煌びやかな魚です。オスが口の中で子を育てるマウスブリーディングと呼ばれる繁殖形態を持っています。

At first glance, the Threadfin Cardinalfish looks rather plain, but it is a shimmering fish with blue horizontal lines on its body and shiny blue eyes. Males engage in breeding called mouthbrooding in which they raise their young in the mouth.
