クリーナーフィッシュ（掃除魚）として知られ、大型魚の皮膚についている寄生虫や汚れた粘膜を食べています。自分からホンソメワケベラにやっていく大型魚もおり、食べられる事はありません。

Known as cleaner fish, the Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse feeds on parasites and dirty mucous membranes on the skin of larger fish. Some large fish will voluntarily allow the Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse to do so and they will not be eaten.
