生後褐色し始める頃に酸によって鱗の色素を取り除いたり鱗を剥がして色素細胞を取り除いたりして真白さを人工的に調節しています。ジキンは愛知県では天然記念物に指定されています。

This variety’s bright white coloration is artificially regulated by removing pigments from the scales with acid when they begin to brown after birth, or by removing pigment cells by peeling off the scales. The Jikin goldfish has been designated a natural treasure in Aichi Prefecture.
