山形県の庄内平野、余目町で生み出されました。似ている金魚として「コメット」がいますが、コメットに比べふっくらと丸みを持ち、尾ヒレは年と共に伸長し、体長の倍ほどの長さになります。

This variety was produced in the town of Yome in the sprawling plains of Shonai in Yamagata Prefecture. It is similar to the Comet goldfish, but it is more plump and has a rounder body, and its tail fins grow longer with age, becoming twice as long as its body length.
